  • NAM vocationscontest Vocation Awareness/Support

The need for vocations in the Church is critical. One of NAM’s most significant undertakings has been its assistance to the Church in promoting an awareness of vocations. As part of its Vocation Awareness Program, NAM conducts an annual Vocations Awareness Poster/Essay/Multimedia Contest for Maronite religious education students from kindergarten through high school. A packet is sent to the parish (addressed to the religious education director) which includes a cover letter, contest brochure, local contest brochure and a contest flyer for posting in your parish. In further support of vocations NAM is closely aligned with the Order of Saint Sharbel and invites all Maronite clergy, religious and seminarians in the United States as guests of NAM at all NAM events.

Dear Pastor, Administrator, and Religious Education Director,

Thank you for your invaluable help in making the 2010 Vocations Awareness Contest a success! We could not have done it without you. Only you, with the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, can motivate your children to get involved. I truly appreciate the support and encouragement you provided to all the students in your parish who participated!

The above links contain all the information for the 2009 NAM Vocation Awareness Contest. All entries must be sent to the address shown below in order to be considered for prizes. The deadline for this year’s contest is May 15, 2010. Please make sure all participants follow the directions, especially as to the information on entries. As always, we count upon you to collect and forward your parish entries in a timely manner. You may forward submissions as soon as your local parish contest is completed.

If there are winners from your parish for the 2009 contest, prizes are enclosed. We hope that you will award these prizes during a NAM Awareness Sunday.

It is highly recommended that you advertise this contest in your church bulletins/newsletter.

    Sincerely,
    Kim J. Richey
    Chairman: Education Committee
