NAM serves the Maronite Church through its many service programs that focus on preserving our heritage and making the faithful more aware of their traditions with a heightened level of pride.
The
Awards Program, specifically the Massabki Awards for adults and the Faith of the Mountain Awards for young adults serve a two -fold purpose; they reinforce and reward service to the Church "above and beyond" by dedicated members of NAM. The Massabki Awards honor the legacy and the sacred martyrdom of the Massabki Brothers, proclaimed as "patrons of the laity" of the Maronite Church. The Faith of the Mountain Award honors, encourages and reinforces the service of our young adults who have shown exceptional dedication to the Maronite Church.
NAM's
Scholarship Program is an investment in the future of the Maronite Church. Because we recognize the importance of our youth - our future - we strive to offer them financial assistance as they begin their college careers. Through personal contributions and special collections at all our conventions we continue to build up our scholarship fund in an effort to increase the dollar amount and the number of annual scholarships we offer. Your tax-deductible donations are welcome!
NAM's
Vocations Awareness Program has two major aspects. The Annual Poster and Essay Contest is open to all students of the Maronite Christian Formation (MCF) programs in our parishes. The program is designed to make these students more aware of the concept of vocation and service to the Church in the hope that they will recognize a vocation in themselves or in others. NAM's commitment to vocations is further expressed in its policy of hosting all clergy, religious and seminarians at all NAM events in an expression of gratitude for this great gift of service to the Church.
NAM's Regional Retreats provides a special opportunity for spiritual reflection, education and fellowship. One of the retreat scheduled during Lent is usually held at our National Shrine of Our Lady of Lebanon in No. Jackson, Ohio. Additional retreats are often scheduled in other parts of the country.
NAM has established an educational liaison with
Notre Dame University in Lebanon
(NDU). A summer program of study is available for high school and college students to study at NDU in Lebanon where they can experience, first hand, the cultural and ethnic aspects of Lebanon, while advancing their formal education.
NAM's
Annual Spring Cash Raffle was established to provide the apostolate with additional income to allow it to expand its service to the Maronite Church. This annual "fun event" has become so popular with hundreds of people nationwide that it recently has been expanded and will continue to grow. Join the fun and win some cash!
