If you think one dollar has no more buying power in 2009 consider this request and challenge; send in one dollar for each family member: husband, wife, (per) child, grandmother, grandfather, grandchild, uncle, aunt, and cousin that might be living in your own home this year. Encourage all of your families and your friends to participate as well. Then do the same thing next year too, and the year following and so on.

With the FAITHFUL donations annually of one dollar per family member of each and every Maronite here and abroad, this is a reasonable concept that can be achieved with certainty. However, it will not reach its full potential without YOUR dedicated and committed participation. PLEASE DO NOT WAIT FOR “THE OTHER GUY” TO DO IT FIRST. We as Maronites need to build communities that are housed within their own facilities so they can worship, meet, hold classes and other functions freely without relying on the favors of others for a place to pray. If you have your own church building in which to pray, PRAISE GOD, and look to help those that do not have this ability. If you are a member of a faith community that does not have a facility of your own we need you to participate as well, after all you may be the recipient. None of us can build a church by ourselves, yet when we all come together from all areas of the Maronite Faith Community putting in our one dollar each, it is possible to help build those churches in mission areas of both Eparchies and our Maronite Tradition can grow and be nurtured as we come together to worship.
